To accomplish the above responsibilities, the Web Specialist will work closely with domestic and international marketing, web development, product, sales and graphic design teams. This individual will be responsible for web strategies, ensuring timely, accurate and quality content, graphics and functionality of the sites.
Responsibilities
- Enhance digital presence via online strategies that align with business goals. Develop and implement interactive strategies and emerging technologies to increase our digital presence and drive traffic through SEO and SEM strategies. Leverage social networks, online communities, mobile devices and other new technologies to achieve results.
- Drive overall performance of the sites through multiple, progressive digital disciplines and media channels. Utilize the Web as prospect and lead nurturing system via new technologies, applications and functionality.
- Identify and manage content needs to positively affect the user experience and performance of the websites by working creatively with various team members and content providers. Manage all content entry, modifications and overall CMT responsibilities.
- Manage quality by researching, monitoring and administering best practices for usability, design and information architecture to impact overall web quality, maintenance and site usability and to ensure our websites are presented effectively and in accordance with the highest of standards.
- Produce website and search engine reporting. Analyze metrics and trends to recommend website enhancements.
- Manage email campaign distribution and programs by using campaign software, working with various content editors, creating, testing and distributing all email campaigns. Also responsible for ensuring that company best practices are followed as related to the distribution of these email campaigns.
- Manage projects, such as backup design, as identified or needed.
- Business travel, domestic and international, up to 10%.
Qualifications
- BA or BS from four-year college or university; or 6+ years relevant experience.
- Experience with Internet and/or Web-based technologies.
- Marketing background required.
- Knowledge of the Internet and software industries, previous experience in a high tech company preferred.
- 3-5 years experience providing Web support and design utilizing HTML or equal combination of education and experience.
- Experience required in producing cutting-edge systems, Web-based products and content development
- Experience required in web development process, programs and developer needs.
- Web site development capabilities and/or experience is a plus.
- Experience working with International Web site operations is a plus.
- 4-5 years experience with web development production, software applications and database tools.
- Working understanding of Web marketing, including email campaigns, banner ads, direct mail, etc.
