Social Media Coordinator/Account Executive

Kathy Schaeffer and Associates, Inc. (KSA) (www.ksapr.com) is a growing public relations firm, specializing in public affairs-oriented public relations. KSA seeks a full-time social media coordinator/account executive to create and implement online and social media strategies that help KSA clients achieve their PR objectives and communications goals and further their missions. This is a newly created position and offers the opportunity for expressing creativity and for growing professionally.

Role of the Social Media Coordinator/Account Executive

 

 

The KSA social media coordinator/account executive is first and foremost a strategic communicator. The person must be able to understand a client’s communications needs, recommend effective digital, social media and new media strategies and be able to clearly and simply define and describe for clients the tactics and technology needed.

The social media coordinator/account executive is responsible for coordinating and/or consulting with KSA leadership, clients and fellow staff members to carry out KSA’s social media activity for the firm and for our clients. This includes being able to define and measure how recommended social and digital media initiatives will help clients achieve their goals in a cost-effective manner. While all KSA team members understand and execute online and social media tactics, the social media coordinator is expected to be a thought leader and catalyst for the firm and our clients on current and emerging online technologies.



This person also is responsible for executing other public relations activities o behalf of clients, such as writing, strategizing and pitching stories tot he media.



The social media coordinator/ account executive is a member of the KSA account team and reports to the KSA Account Supervisor.
